Onslaught eSports is please to announce the acquisition of the Rainbow Six: Siege PC team formerly known as “Ferocity Esports” to play under the oS banner for Season 4 of the ESL Pro League. A top-4 finisher from Pro League Season 3, the roster consisting of veterans Justin “dalycan” Woods, Marcus “Talon” Lynn, Zach “sovsov3” Sites, Ron “FPSZed” Zimmer, recently eligible newcomer Ryan “P3NG1N” Knierim, and sub Luke “Nineline” Carroll was an invited competitor for the revamped Season 4 of Pro League and gives Onslaught its 3rd professional Rainbow Six squad in 4 seasons.
Becoming involved in the PC side of Rainbow Six had been on the radar of Onslaught for a considerable amount of time, and with the news that the entire Pro League would be restructured to only include PC players (with separate Challenger leagues for both PS4 and Xbox) the timing was perfect to acquire a top-level PC team.
When interviewed, Onslaught General Manager Patrick O’Brien was very pleased with the prospects for the team.
“Continuing our involvement with RB6 was a big priority for us in 2017, and we are excited to be signing such a talented and consistent team as we make the transition over to the PC platform. With so much success last season with our World Finals console team, maintaining that same level of performance was definitely on our minds. With this roster we feel very confident we can be right there at the end of the year.” – Patrick O’Brien, General Manager
Chief Operating Officer Jen Dalton was equally optimistic about the team and expanding the Onslaught name into the PC sphere.
“Coming off such an emotional high with our last Rainbow Six team playing for a world title in Poland just a few months ago, we wanted to make sure we had a PC team that could challenge for a title and help us grow on the PC side. We feel like we hit a home run acquiring such a great group of guys.” – Jen Dalton, COO
Team captain Justin “dalycan” Woods was also excited to be representing Onslaught heading into Year 2 for the Rainbow Six: Siege series.
“After getting so close during the Six Invitational closed qualifiers and then watching the other teams perform at LAN, our entire team cannot wait for Season 4 to start. With our recent roster changes, we feel we have a great shot at making the Pro League LAN finals and joining Onslaught gives us the ability to just focus on the game. We are very exited to have the backing of such a great organization and one with a history of success in Rainbow Six. – Justin “dalycan” Woods, Captain
