Onslaught Killer Instinct: NEC XVII

NEC XVII featured a full slate of some of the biggest games and best players across the fighting games genre, with competitors from titles including Street Fighter 5, Mortal Kombat XL, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator, Pokkén Tournament, Killer Instinct, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, King of Fighters 14, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Soul Calibur 5, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo, Darkstalkers/Vampire Savior and Ultra Street Fighter 4.

Onslaught eSports was represented in the Killer Instinct event by both Aphex Arcade and Zero Syndicate, two of the top players in the game. Aphex competed using his main, Rash while Zero played with his main, Shadow Jago. After two days of back and forth action, Aphex lost an incredibly close matchup to make the final top 8, while Zero cruised through a loser’s bracket run and ultimately secured top 8 before succumbing to top 5 finisher TBS|Sickle and his Glacius play.
